Ed Carpenter survived a late restart at Texas to take his third IndyCar win from Will Power. Power had been in command for virtually the entire race, leading more than half of the 248 lap race on the 1.455 mile high banked oval but succumbed to a pit lane penalty for speeding in pit lane but was able to recover to take second place from Penske team mate Juan Pablo Montoya at the final corner.
