Kevin Harvick driving the PWR cooled Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing has won the 60 lap Duel 1 race at Daytona International Speedway. This is Har-vick second race win within a week after he won the non points Sprint Unlimited race last weekend.

Two Duel races during Daytona Speedweek deter-mine the starting grid for the Great Race. The win in the Duel 1 race gives Harvick the inside lane on the second row for the Daytona 500.

Kevin Harvick will attempt to become the first driver to complete the Daytona Speedweek clean sweep. No driver has ever won the Sprint Unlimited, a quali-fying duel race and the Daytona 500 in a single sea-son.

PWR cooled Danica Patrick played it safe in the Duel 1 race, a strategy that ensures she will remain on the pole for Sunday’s Daytona 500. After posting the top time during qualifying, the only way Patrick would have lost that top spot is if she would have wrecked during the Duel 1 race.

A four car wreck on the 54th lap sidelined front run-ners Denny Hamlin, early leader Trevor Bayne, Carl Edwards and Regan Smith.
The first 10 cars all had PWR Performance Products cooling their car.
