Kyle Busch didn’t need the full 200 lap distance to claim his third straight NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway and the seventh series event of his career.
Rain shortened the race by 32 laps and Busch claimed a dominant win driving the PWR Performance Products cooled Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing. He led 153 of the 168 completed laps.
Kevin Harvick followed in second place driving the Chevrolet for JR Motorsport with pole sitter Brad Ke-selowski driving the Team Penske Ford finishing in third spot for a PWR podium finish.
Busch took the lead from Keselowski on lap six and led the way until the second of four cautions. Busch lost the lead during pit stop rotation but returned to the front of the pack on lap 100 by overtaking Harvick. He maintained the top spot when the rain forced a early finish to the race.
