The first round of the 2013 World Rally Championship was the Rallye Monte Carlo and marks the fortieth anniversary of the WRC. Defending world champion, Sebastien Loeb, driving the PWR cooled Citroen DS WRC claimed victory after leading the event from stage 2. It was his 77th WRC victory and his seventh Rally Monte Carlo win. Loeb drove a faultless race in treacherous icy conditions with snow falling heavily throughout the race. The final two stages had to be cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

The VW Polo R WRC driven by Sebastien Ogier followed in second place. PWR Performance Products supply the full cooling package on the VW Polo and is working closely with the new team in the develop-ment of the cooling package.

Eight of the top 10 cars were cooled by PWR including the first 7 cars.
