The PWR cooled Penske Ford Mustangs dominated racing at the road course at Watkins Glen in the NASCAR Nationwide race with them running 1-2-3 throughout the race. When the chequered flag fell it was Brad Keselowski first by 1.418 seconds with team mate Sam Hornish Jr in second position. It was Keselowski first victory at The Glen and the 24th win of his career. He led 46 of the 82 laps.

Hornish started from the pole after breaking the qualifying record and ran in the front pack throughout the race and in the lead for 15 laps. Brian Vickers broke the Penske domination at the end by grabbing third place in his Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry to complete a PWR podium.
