Dani Sordo driving the PWR cooled Citroen DS3 secured his first WRC victory after almost 10 years of trying when he won an enthralling Rallye Deutschland WRC. Sordo’s maiden win of the WRC came after 34 podiums from 106 starts.

It was a exciting finish with the result going to the last stage as he battled hard against PWR cooled Ford Fiesta RS WRC driver Thierry Neuville. Sordo’s lead at the start of the final stage was 0.3 second. The winning margin was 53 seconds as Neuville drove off the road 3 klm from the finish. Up until that point Sordo’s advantage was only three seconds.
