Jamie Whincup has won his third consecutive drivers championship title in his PWR Performance Products cooled RedBull Australia Holden Commodore. Whincup’s team mate Craig Lowndes finished second in the championship also for the third consecutive year which highlights the dominance of the Triple Eight Race Team which uses the full PWR Performance Products cooling package in the series.

Whincup only needed to finish 18th in the last race of the season to win his fifth championship in the V8 Supercars series. Instead of just cruising to ensure a finish, Whincup was right in the middle of the action fighting for a podium.
The newly crowned champion did not take the victory but he put up a fight with pole winner Shane Van Gis-bergen and Jason Bright throughout the 250km race on the street circuit at Homebush, Sydney.

PWR Performance Products cooled Holden Commodore drivers filled all steps on the podium with Van Gisbergen taking the win followed by Bright with Whincup finishing third.
