Race 27 and 28 of the V8Supercar series held at the Winton Motor Raceway, Victoria was dominated by the Triple 8 Racing Holden Commodores which use the full PWR Performance Products cooling package.

Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes finished 1-2 re-spectively in race 27 with Lowndes pushing hard throughout the race after qualifying in position 15. PWR cooled Lee Holdsworth finished in third place a further 10 seconds behind.

Race 28 was won by Craig Lowndes, but it was his teammate, Jamie Whincup’s fightback from a pit lane penalty to a third place podium finish that was the drive of the day.
Whincup now has a 317 point lead in the champion-ship and with a maximum of 300 points on offer at the season finale in Sydney, his fourth V8 Supercar drivers title is all but a formality.

Craig Lowndes recorded his 88th career race win and 42nd ’round’ win which now sees him tied with Mark Skaife.

It also marks the 35th consecutive race win by either a PWR cooled Triple 8 Racing or PWR cooled Ford Performance Racing driver.
