Robert Wickens has scored his maiden victory of his DTM career at the Nurburgring track. Driving the PWR Performance Products cooled Mercedes Benz AMG C Coupe, Wickens qualified in seventh place and gained positions in the race with skilful overtaking manoeuvres.

With heavy rain showers adding extra excitement to the racing Wickens was the first to take the chequered flag after the maximum duration of the race of 75 minutes, having completed 47 of the scheduled 49 laps.
Augusto Farfus driving the BMW M3 started from pole position but lost positions early in the race due to the weather but did recover for a strong second place. Christian Vietoris in a Mercedes followed in third place.
